So we release our apps and people start downloading them from iTunes. Great! Then, inevitably, bugs are uncovered. Anyone know how releasing new versions of the our apps will work? Will they be downloaded automatically when the user syncs their iPhone? Or will the user be prompted that there is a new version, just like we are when there's an update to the OS?
Thats a good question, and until the App Store is fully functional and out I'm only guessing, but I hope that they integrate updates into the App Store. If you've jailbroken your iPhone you've seen the Installer Application update your installed apps. Hopefully the App Store will do the same, and all we as developers would have to do is tell Apple there is a new version of our software for download.
We shall see...
